About Me and Statement of Faith

Now that you know why I started SOH, I want to share a little more about my background and expertise. 

  • I received a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Christian Ministry from Mississippi College, a Master's degree in Parent and Family Life Education from the University of Alabama, and I have doctoral education (ABD) from Mississippi State University in Human Development and Family Studies. 
  • I am a Certified Family Life Educator and a TBRI Practitioner. 
  • I spent 10 years working in higher education from administrative roles, teaching roles, to extension roles working with community members and state leaders. 
  • I am a lay leader in my local church and serve on various teams, but my favorite team to serve on right now is our Family Ministry team.
